The mission of the M&M Area Community Foundation is to encourage and provide opportunities for charitable giving, to manage and distribute the funds in a responsible manner, and to enhance the quality of life for people with a primary focus in Menominee and Marinette Counties.
As a public charity and non-profit Michigan corporation, the role of the M&M Area Community Foundation is to accumulate endowment funds which grow and earn income. In this way, it builds the resources to meet a wide range of community needs. The Foundation continues to expand its circle of friends and supporters to construct a substantial community "savings/investment " account which offers donors of every means an opportunity to give something back to the Marinette and Menominee county area in the form of worthwhile programs and projects.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors made up of area business and civic leaders. The founding board of directors included Roger Derusha, Don Gehrke, David Higley, Wesley Hoffman, Katie Jones, Matt Minor, Randy Neelis, John Reinke, John Seaborg, and Mary Staudenmaier.
