Janury 2017 - The M&M Area Community Foundation announced today that they are accepting applications for grants from the Philanthropy Fund. This fund is intended to support projects, throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties, which are specifically designed to “Pay It Forward”. For example, in 2016 the Foundation partnered with the Crivitz Area Youth Group to provide funding for students to serve as camp counselors for people with disabilities at Camp Daniel. A grant was also provided to the Growing Gardens Together project for seeds and plants for local gardens. The produce they grow is then distributed to local non-profits.
Non-profits, schools, religious organizations and government entities are invited to apply for grants. Applications must be submitted through the Foundation's website (www.mmacf.org) between January 16th – 31st. Grants will be awarded in March.
Grant funding is made available by the charitable contributions of local donors through an endowment established and managed by the MMACF.
