March 2016 - High school students having volunteered above and beyond their schools’ community service requirements are eligible for nomination for the Young Philanthropist Award for 2016. The award's funding is provided by the M&M Area Community Foundation's Youth Advisory Committee along with the Stephenson National Bank & Trust. Each of two recipients will be given the opportunity to direct a $400 grant to the non-profit of their choice.
Students, youth clubs, and school organizations residing in Marinette and Menominee counties are eligible for nomination. The volunteer efforts must benefit non-profit organizations as well as the nominees' school. A student may not be nominated if they have accepted a premium from the charitable organization as a reward for their philanthropic efforts.
