April 2016 - The M&M Area Community Foundation is designating April as sponsorship month.
"It is sponsorships that keep us operational" said MMACF Board President, Lisa Fernstrum. “We want to set aside time to recognize and thank the generous donors and volunteers who give of their time and resources to ensure the Foundation meets its mission of service to our community."
According to Paula Gruszynski, MMACF Executive Director, the April designation creates an opportunity to thank current sponsors as well as reach out to new sponsors, both individual and corporate. "If endowments are the flesh and bone of the MMACF, then sponsors are our lifeblood," she added.
Sponsorships range from $500 to $10,000 to provide operational support as well as benefiting events such as the MMACF Celebration of Giving. Benefits to sponsors include recognition at foundation events as well as tickets to the annual Tailgate Party.
“Although we are relatively new to this role as a sponsor, Lee’s Family Foods of Peshtigo is happy to support our community in this way,” said Lee Mylener, owner. “The Foundation does great work throughout Marinette and Menominee counties. It is an asset to the area and serves to make us a better community," he concluded.
The M&M Area Community Foundation has supported non-profit, charitable organizations and provided student scholarships since 1997. The Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015 and is completing a 3 year strategic plan which is awaiting final board approval before being released to the public.
