Annual Reports

Note From the President:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my honor and privilege to update you on the exciting events that have been happening with the M&M Area Community Foundation.

With the new Board of Directors installed in September 2015, we began the process of developing a 3-year Strategic Plan to guide the Foundation. The Board and Foundation Staff held a retreat to discuss the direction of the Foundation and the roles that each would play. From this, a Strategic Planning Committee was formed. Roundtable meetings were held with former Board and Committee members to gather their input and feedback on the Strategic Plan. Their continued support of the MMACF is vital and appreciated!

Due to the generosity of our many community sponsors, the Angel Fund was transformed from a fundraiser for operations to a fundraiser for our new endowed Philanthropy Fund. Half of the donations received were granted to local organizations and half were endowed for future granting. The proceeds from our annual Brats for Breakfast fundraiser were also added to the Philanthropy Fund.

The M&M Area Community Foundation is thrilled to be partnering with the City of Marinette on the Community Sports and Events Center, including an endowed fund for future sustainability. The Foundation continues to strengthen its partnerships throughout the twin county region by providing grants to the Goodman Historical Society, the Niagara Senior Café and both the Carney-Nadeau School and the Hannahville Tribal School for their Food Backpack Programs, to name a few.

I would like to thank the wonderful Foundation staff; Paula, Patrice and Kerri, who make things run smoothly throughout the year. Thank you to the Board of Directors, Committee members and tireless volunteers, who give of their time, talents and treasures to move the Foundation forward. Thank you to our generous sponsors, without whom we couldn’t accomplish the mission of the Foundation. Most importantly, thank you to all the Foundation supporters, fund holders and donors who help make dreams a reality.
